Active Filey has been created to promote health related activities and sports opportunities such as cycling \/ running \/jogging\/ walking and watersports like sea swimming<\/p>

The ethos is that of getting folks active and creating local opportunities for participation totally inclusive of age and ability on our fabulous coast and countryside<\/p>

Established in 2020 we currently do not charge a membership fee and have received support from Filey Town Council, our North Yorkshire County Councillor, Filey Lions and Filey Bay Today\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

We are affiliated to several governing bodies for our different elements plus have qualified cycle ride leaders and coaches<\/p>

Enjoy sea swimming with Active Filey. Regular open water swimming groups run throughout the year from coble landing.<\/p>

See our coastline in a different perspective from the North Sea, connect with others, immerse yourself into cold water to feel the benefits of wild swimming on your mind, body and soul.<\/p>

Make friends and if you\u2019re really lucky, catch sight of seals, dolphins and fascinating sea birds along the way.<\/p>

Our run sessions are welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last.<\/p>

Everyone is welcome to come along, whether you \u00a0jog, run, or run with a bit of walking<\/p>

Often the seafront features as part of the route<\/p>

We have a Couch to 5 K group session<\/p>

Some sessions do hill \/ seafront step work to add variety<\/p>

Active Filey is keen to promote cycling in the area. We offer a range of cycling experiences, led by qualified ride leaders and coaches. Subject to government measures, we host a number of weekly rides (morning, afternoon and evening options) and occasional small events. We offer rides for the nervous and unfit and for those more experienced, wanting to stretch themselves.\u00a0<\/p>

We are British Cycling \/ Cycling UK \/ Cycling Time Trial affiliated<\/p>
